As of July 1st (2023), I am a free agent (from the York Region District School Board [YRDSB]). I am now involved in the following projects… in no particular order (yet):
- Cleaning up the 20-odd years of accumulation from my teaching career.
- Packing up our home for a big move.
- Supporting TS at Black Dog Biscuits (link).
- Blogging about our 25 acre (~10 hectare) woodlot up on the North Bruce Peninsula (it’s ~1/2h south of Tobermory via Highway 6). Here’s a link to it.
- A soon-to-be launched tutoring service (managed by TS, et al.).
- I am acting like a gentleman forester and cutting up deadfall for either firewood (that could be sold) or for chipping (for soil production and raised bed gardens).
- Permaculture operation on our woodlot (that focusses on agricultural SCIENCE… not woo woo flakey pseudoscience [like biodynamic farming]).
- Hobbyist electronics.
- Hobbyist HiFi fanatic. Personal audio devices! User name: ScubaMan2017 — I’ve earned the rank of HEADPHONEUS SUPREMUS.
- Housepanther owner.
- Standup (science) philosopher. Yes, that can lead to being a BS-artist if I’m not careful.
- Meditation. Headspace. MyNoise.net.
- Fishing.
- Woodcraft.
- Cultery maintenance.
- Aquaponics. Greenhouse + water + plants + fish!
- Eventually… as it’s now post pandemic… resume SCUBA diving on Lake Huron and Georgian Bay… with THIS company.
